Wait, I'm still slighty confused (what else is new?)...is this the old old version of Gamma World from way back when, or is this the one that was run under Alternity rules back at the end of the 90's?

Let me further clarify--In addition to the 3rd Edition Gamma World ESD published in 1986, there are several products from the Alternity Line available as well.

Sorry, I really didn't know what the Alternity line was, I was totally out of RPGing at that time.

Anyway, check it out.

Alternity edition is fifth edition.

1st & 2nd were the white-cover editions.

3rd was the ACT table edition (and my fave). This uses a varaint of the FEAT tables from Marvel Supers or Star Frontiers Zebulon's Guide edition.

4th is quite similar to D20 system actually.

5th is Alternity

If memory serves...

1e: The original :)

2e: A "cleaned up" 1e (So I've heard, I've never actually seen this one though.)

3e: New game using the colored chart mechanic so popular (with TSR anyway) in the mid-80's (Similar to MSH, Zebulon's Guide, Conan, etc...).

4e: Good clean mechanics (some of which might be familiar to D&D 3e types ;) )

5e: Based on the alternity game system (never really cared for this one personally, but I know those who swear by it).

6e(?): The "game-ette" in Polyhedron

7e(?): The upcoming full-blown d20 version.

Looks like Hell Hound types faster!

Yes, but while your typing-fu is superior, Thorvald's style of the Descriptive Monkey beats your style of Succinct Tiger.

Thorvald is still the Master.

*GOOOONG!*
