This may seem like a silly question, but where is the nearest airport to this convention?

mapquest says 65 miles from O'Hare. so about 1.5 hours sans traffic

General Mitchell Airport (MKE) in Milwaukee. We use it all the time, and it's much closer than O'Hare. I can usually get there in 45 minutes or less from home here in Lake Geneva. It's traditionally a hub for Midwest Airlines.

For those of you looking for a hotel, I've stayed at The Plaza before. The rooms are decent, the owners are nice, and it is very nicely priced for being so close to the lake. It is about a 15 minute walk from there to the Legion Hall.

Lake Geneva might be the only town in Wisconsin where you can pass 4 consecutive intersections without seeing a bar or liquor store, BTW.

using google maps it looks like the plazamotel.com is about 10 blocks away from henry street. i also found on hotels.com the crowne plaza and budget inn on the lake at about the same walking distance to the hall.

early march in wisconsin. is it cold? should i expect to dress for the arctic?
