Luke,

Swing by my shop and drop off some flyers. I'm sure my customers would be glad to know of this.

Game Universe: Role Playing Games, Dice, Board Games, Miniatures, Paints, and more!

Also, if you need any prize support or giveaways, let me know and I'll get you a couple boxes of books to take back with you.

RPG Life | It's a gamer's life!

James, Thanks for the kind offer of product for giveaways. Gary Con is a memorial gaming weekend- yes we are gaming Saturday and Sunday- with all open gaming. The original idea was to due an invitation only event, but I decided to open it up to all gamers (we are all comrades in games, right). Perhaps nest year I will develop an AD&D tournament. This year I am going to enjoy playing Metamorphasis Alpha with Jim Ward, Circus Maximus (referee Tim Kask) and D&D with Frank Mentzer. I am planning on running one of my favorite classic modules as well.

I live in CA and I am flying in on Thursday night for Gary Con, so I won't be able to drop off flyers. I just spread the word on the forums and it looks like over 100 people are coming. The Legion Hall has a max cap of 125! So I may need to find a bigger place next year. So if you are coming, please make sure to register online at GaryCon - Eventbrite

See you in a couple weeks!

Luke

Looks like about 85 people so far! :)

Well we have 99 signed up on the eventbrite site and Tom Wham and Ernie have about 25 more people locally that are attending but did not register. Hopefully we have enough elbow room at the Legion Hall- praps I will do a satelite location if it is over 125. I am amazed- I guessed about 50 people would come when I decided to do this.

You live in Monterey now?!? Why couldn't you have been there back in 2004 and 2005? Well, if your staying in the Army go to Ft. Huachuca, AZ next. Its a nice and quiet small city nestled in some gorgeous foothills. Try and live in Bisbee though. A bit of a commute, but a lot cooler temperatures if you live in the right part of the town.

You in Monterey for a language? My wife was there for Chinese.

I believe Midwest airlines is offering some good prices to Milwaukee, maybe I can afford to go.

Your dad is loved and respected far more than he ever realized.

I am actually a full time (AGR) National Guardsman. My wife is the one that works at the DLI. I am in charge of NG Recruiting from Santa Rosa west to Fairfield and all the way down past the Monterey Bay. I have my next assignment lined up and it is in the old Ft Ord (Seaside effectively).

I sure hope you can make it to Gary Con. I will make it an annual event in any case- so if not this year you can come in 2010.

Nice! We actually lived in the old Ft. Ord housing while we were there. The hills are awesome for exercise. In case you don't know follow the road (main one) that runs along the commissary until it essentially dead ends at some gates.

I probably won't make it this year, but everything should be worked out well enough for me to make it next year.
