Heh, props for picking Bayle Domon, out of all the WoT characters! Please tell me Bayle the Vampire said things like “I do be needing to drink blood.”

No, the heavy metal kid that introduced my brother and me to D&D may have had a lot of nonsense in his game, but he was all about making a gonzo fun game, not keeping people out of the hobby or smiting people for badwrongfun. Whenever I run for people new to gaming these, days, I always try to remember that kindness.

Gatekeeper? Puh-leeeze. The exact opposite - people were thrilled that someone else had heard of D&D and wanted to proselytize and spread the hobby.

Of course, this was back in Red Box Basic days. Finding more players was a rush.
