I'm starting to think I'm loosing it. Wasn't the Gelatinous Template from Savage Species (a 3.0 template) updated to 3.5 in another, later supplement?
I coulda swore the template appeared in Dungeonscape, or maybe it was one of the 4 extra Monster Manuals...
At any rate, no internet search turns up any clue. I'm thinking maybe it's name was changed and that's why I'm not seeing in on any index or internet search. Anyone have a clue?
Or maybe someone could suggest a conversion? The old template says the creature gains a secondary slam attack with damage based on size... what is a secondary attack? Is that like an alternate attack or is it an extra attack it takes in addition to the base creatures usual natural attacks in a turn? Is the attack done with the full base attack bonus? Which of it's special abilities gets subsumed under the 3.5's rules regarding 'ooze traits'.
When I try to convert it, it does not seem worthy of the +2 CR adjustment. Who thinks it should be lowered or maybe there are ooze like abilities that could be added to make it worth the +2 CR?
Thanks for your time and attention, folks.
