Hey everybody!
In just over one week, I'll be packing up the van with the Gelflings, a bunch of Canadian beer, cheese curds, maple cookies and games (for the Canadiana Suite), and of course, a box full of framed certificates and medals for the ENnie Award winners and a bunch of booth decoration stuff.
I just thought I'd do a quickie update as to what's going on with the ENnies:

I just thought I'd do a quickie update as to what's going on with the ENnies:
- Voting ends Monday, August 8th around noon EST for the ENnies. There are some categories where the difference between gold and silver, or silver and nothing are under 30 votes! We've had the best turnout ever for voters thus far, thank you. If you haven't voted yet, you're running out of time!
- Voting for the Fans' Choice for Best Publisher ends Monday, August 15th around noon EST. We've only had a few hundred votes cast for this category, so hope fans will step up and make sure their voice is heard!
- The Awards are hovering around $2,000.00 in the red. Since we don't have a big game organization backing us (Gen Con and ENWorld already provide lots of support, as have our corporate sponsor, DTRPG, but it's not enough), we've started up a fund raising campaign. You can simply use PayPal to donate, or have some fun with our book auctions and ENnie Evening auctions (where you bid upon sitting with and/or representing designers), or buy the Ceramic DM book. This is a fan based award, and we're counting on the fans to help us out, so please do what you can- even $5 can go a long way if enough people contribute!
- The ENnies booth is #E- just outside the Exhibitor Hall, a few booths down from the Klingon Jail. Everyone is encouraged to drop by and check out the nominated products and say hi to our team of volunteers. There'll even be a pen and paper message system (how retro!) onhand for ENWorlders to track each other, and a sign up sheet for pick up games.
- The ENnies Award Ceremony is Friday, August 19th at the Crowne Plaza's Grand Hall after the Exhbitor Dinner. We anticipate it taking under two hours if we can convince the winners to limit their speeches to about 1 minute each. Admission to the event is free with your Gen Con Indy badge. There is a cash bar. General admission seating will be at the back, the nominated publishers (or at least those who RSVP'd) and their guests will be seated at tables at the front (so we don't waste too much time waiting for winners to walk the length of the hall). At the moment we've got over 60 game designers confirmed to attend- this is looking to be a great party! Buttercup (our lovely volunteer coordinatrix) and I are looking for a few volunteers for the evening who would like to dress up and act as ushers.
