I have the feeling that GenCon would not be able to afford free booze. This con likely can because it's small. GenCon, with it's 25K+ attendees, likely would be renting a Budwiser bottling plant to supply their con goers.
But if we're going for free stuff, I'd rather have a free meal.
No, more's the pity. The first one I got to was 2003, which was the first year in Indy. (which was great timing in one way, because Indy didn't know what it had yet in terms of how big a deal GenCon is, and thus various prices weren't jacked up)Clearly you never went to Gen Con when it was in Milwaukee.![]()
