Ouch, and I thought my 6:00 AM starter flight to Minneapolis sucked.

Wednesday I go home from work, have dinner with my beautiful wife and sons, then call my buddy Eric and we're on our way.

Leaving around 1:00 in the afternoon on Wednesday. I think this is gonna be a good one!

Leaving C'ville at 7am Wednesday, at least that's the plan. Of course, that is Rel's plan. Me, I like to sleep late. So it'll probably be more like 7:30am, after my wife kicks me out of bed when she gets ready for work, and I stagger out the front door like a zombie and crash in the truck.

But regardless of what time everyone gets on the road, I'm looking forward to seeing everyone there, and hope everyone has a safe trip!

And I agree with Buttercup --- this year is going to be an especially good one.

I wish we could put a movie-montage together of everyone leaving their
respective domiciles on their Quest to GenCon. An outdoor shot of suburban
Charlottesville : a front door opens as a woman kisses her zombie-like-husband as
he bustles toward a truck where Rel has been leaning on the horn for the past
10 minutes.....Francisca wiping the corner of his mouth with a napkin after a splendid
dinner where one of his son's says "Good luck, Dad!" as he picks up the phone....Frukathka
darting out toward the airport in the middle of the night...Teflon Billy and his crew
in black Navy-Seal-like camo infiltrating their way to the airport - "GO! GO! GO!"

oh hell, rather than me trying to imagine your departure --- HOW are you leaving
for GenCon this year?


Maybe next year since CVS now has disposable video cameras....

Our flight leaves on wednesday morning at 9:20am, and I expect we'll be in Downtown Indianapolis by 11. I doubt they'll have our room ready at the Westin, so we'll have a bit of time to waste - anybody else going to be there that early?
