[GenCon] Thanks to all of you...

MEG Hal

First Post
[sappy thanks]
I posted on all of the GenCon threads and stated how great it was this year but I wanted to say a bit more...

First to all of you on Thursday and Friday (when I wore pants), I switched to jean shorts Sat and Sun to stop all the protests ;)

I ended up spending a good amount of time with the Gamers Bag guys Paladin, Paladinwife and Michelle and had a great time, I was quite smitten with you and the bags...

Seeing my friends. I know this is corny but one of my favorite things to do is hang at others booths for awhile, I had three panels (who'd a thunk, Hal knows things  ) so I did not get to see people as much as I wanted but from my friends who work in the industry to the ENWorldians--you all are the reason I still do this.

The food and the hotels, while scattered a bit more then WI everyone seemed to like where they stayed and had more room, and Indy seemed happy to have us, that was very cool.

My kids--I am a sucka- and I brought my kids to see my parents (who live in Indy) and had then had them all come by on Friday and walked the showroom and besides Valar (we covered their eyes ;) ) they had a blast and to the green alien man if he is a member of these boards, my 3.5 yo daughter is still talking about you.

My MEG team, some new some not, although not perfect I felt 100% better at 2003 then 2002 and it was mostly because of my team--thanks guys! Curtis, Becky, Stefon, Wade, Ken, Stefon's fiance, Susannah. Tammy, Ed Cha, Ed Bourelle, Bret and Doug (think I got everyone) THANKS!!!!!

Great seeing Eric, Morrus and all of you and I feel it is an honor when people take the time out to stop by and see me, so thanks all of you.

[/end of sappy thanks]

You've taken my title

Hal,

All my life I've been King of the Smartasses. Really.

But I was just speechless in your presence.

From now on, I'll be King of the Guys who Stare at Hal until he Looks and then Runs Away!

You pantsless bastard!

- James

I'm adding little smilies so you know I love you. TGFM! :) :)

I love you FD guys even though you are Canadian  :D .
It was great to work with you and see the fruits of our labor in such a whirlwind of activity. Your whole team is always fun and upbeat and I for one love you guys ( I will love you with my pants on, promise) for that. Your booth is always so FUN!! And great product to boot!

I picked up MEG's Player's Archive on Saturday and love it. It is the super-deluxe player record sheet to end all player record sheets. I am itching to use it. Great product and all the MEG folks at the booth were very nice. Just wanted to give you guys some props.

For a fellow who is, without question, the Pantless Wonder, I never imagined that he could be so cute and cuddly! ;)

It was great finally meeting you and the whole MEG crew, Hal! :D

It was a blast, Hal, thanks for letting me tag along to Lunch on Wednesday .. Hope the hot wings didn't ruin too many books ;)

Also, thank you for donating all that swag to the EN World party Sunday at O'Rourke's - it was very well received! I think EVERYONE walked away with at least one thing, and there were plenty of people there - I know because of my tab for buying a round ;)

Thanks to Hal for taking us first-time GenCon rookies under his wing. Without his help we'd have been running around not knowing what to do...much like we are at home... ;)
