I am looking forward to:
1) Exploring the new digs. While I know and love Milwaukee after attending 14 GenCons there, it'll be nice to find some new resteraunts and bars.
2) The ENnies. I've got my eye on that Best Publisher Award.
3) Showing off a printout of Skull & Bones (which will be at print by then), so I can prove that it does indeed exist.
4) Hanging out and playing games with my old NYC group. I only get to see them a couple of times a year now, so we try to get together for at least one session of D&D at GenCon.
5) Working the booth. I know that sounds funny, but working our booth at cons is fun. It's a change of pace from staring at a computer all day, I get to meet new folks and see old friends, and find out first hand how people like our stuff.
6) Seeing the reaction to Artifacts of the Ages: Swords and Staves, our first collaboration with the Game Mechanics.
7) Getting some cool swag.
8) Getting some sleep. No really. We are going to be at Comic Con in San Diego the week before GenCon. We'll be home for all of two days before we leave again. Thanks for Priceline, we aren't getting in until 8:43 am Thursday. We leave on Wednesday, you see, but apparently they don't guarantee you GET THERE on the day you request, so we get fly all night, transfer in Atlanta, get to Indy, drop our stuff in our hotel, and rush to our booth so we can be there to work at 10 am. That's going to be a great way to start the con, let me tell you! Thankfully, Hal will be there Wednesday to set up the booth.
