I hope this is the right forum. I'm hoping to go to GenCon UK in October and as this will be my first Con I have some questions.

Is there going to be an official ENWorld area? At least as official as everyone here agrees to meet at a cirtain point. Are there any planned ENWorld get togethers?

I know this isn't as big as the Indy GenCon, and I'm sure it's going to be different, but what sort of experiances should I expect. Is it mostly window shopping and talk to the designers? Do most people spend thier time in pick up or scheduled games?

I've browsed through the GenCon UK site, but I wasn't able to get a feeling for what goes on. So I was hoping that someone with a couple of cons under their belt could help a rookie out with some info.

Hi, I and a few friends will also be going to Gencon UK in Minehead this year. It will be my first Gencon UK too so I can't really comment on what happens there. Only to say my friends will probably get drunk a lot and try to fit games in around that They already know what sleeping in airing cupboards and atop trees is like! It scares me to think what they will want to investigate this year!!!

Basically it looks like we will be in a tent playing games though mate Get your name down on any interesting pre-book games when they show up as they will fill up very quickly. A lot of it will be back at the chalet gaming too (not sure if they are still trying to frown upon this at the moment, who cares anyway? )

I haven't heard anything about an ENworld presence. I sure didn't see any at Conception earlier in the year. Now thats a good convention right there!

Cool, thanks for the reply CS. I guess I was hoping there would be more of an enworld presence planned. Oh well, I guess I'll just play it by ear.
