Ooh, now that you mentioned the Academy, I had a once-over your character sheet. It may be well to know that the youngest admitee in the memory of the Academy was 11, and it was basically unheard of (this established in aTfL in 2005 and mentioned again in Rinaldo gets Schooled--she only got in at 11 due to being the greatest prodigy in the generation and the descendant of one of the three founders).
I'd put him in the Academy at 13 or 14 if you want him to a very early admitee. Notice also that when you picked the age of 16, you actually picked an age that is not technically legal for a Wizard by the standard SRD rules (15 + 2d6), though I don't think we mind in general if you don't use that rule. However, I did base the age restrictions of the Academy on that. If he's pretty fast, he could be a 17-year-old who graduated with the full Wizard's Degree in 4, starting at 13. That would still be something students would talk about when they were thinking of the youngest graduates.
