General Discussion

is there any background info for the languages besides...

Not really. Old Landellian is spoken in remote regions and is, imo, the equivalent of Latin (though still spoken). The others are more equivalent to the other romance languages with Low Landellian (Venzan or Common) being the trade tongue and the tongue of the coastal and Ouhm River delta region and the others more central (Middle Landellian, spoken in Sumbru perhaps) and highland areas. Which is all just a wordy way of repeating what the page already says and you already know.

Are you looking for languages other than Landellan? Seithr, HaGruut, Southern, Inner Sea, Northern Isle and Jerishae are all broken out for various areas as well.

Perhaps go with Old Landellian. Aged, reclusive elves would probably be more familiar with it. Also, 'Fey' isn't a language (Sylvan covers that) so you might want to trade it out for something else like Gnomish or Ancient Elven.

A question for our judges:

I'm taking a look at the new hybrid classes, particularly the swashbuckler. It has a feature called 'swashbuckler's weapon training' which seems to be the nearly exact equivalent of the fighter's 'weapon training' feature. The only difference I can see is that the swashbuckler's version applies to a narrower array of weapons. Would the swashbuckler's feature qualify for prerequisites that require 'weapon training', like the Gloves of Dueling?

Cheers

Ok, cool. Cheers for that guys. (Also thanks for the laugh MerryMortician . I'm not sure what was funny but cheers anyway :) )
Mowgli Would I be seriously hampering the group if I decided to retire Relic and roll a lvl 13 swashbuckler? (I actually made up a character just for fun who would not be very far off being able to be submitted for approval) They look pretty fun, but obviosuly a swashbuckler is not batman ... err ... I mean ... is not a wizard when it comes to non-combat situations. Is Heinrich enough to cover us magically? Or is Relic the healer? (Melisande looks like she can dish out a fair bit of healing)

The group would be Aradra (ranger), Heinrich (Fire blaster wizard?), Melisande (paladin), Solomon (swashbuckler). Am I missing anyone? Seems a fairly balanced party to the untrained eye, but I am no expert!

I'm of the general opinion that when it comes to party makeup you make do with what you've got - healing can be managed via wands, potions, etc. in most cases. If not . . . well, that just makes things a little saltier! And you've got time - there are two adventures between which I'm trying to choose at the moment, and I'm moving even more slowly on this than I was on getting my character off the ground and ready for PMs game.

Ironically, I'm probably the judge who least enjoys GMing, and I've run two (counting the upcoming) of the last three adventures for our highest level characters - nerve wracking for me! But since I don't carry my weight with other games or judgely duties it's all good, and I'm up for it!
