General Discussion

Yep, that would make the math easy. Assuming everyone who used DMC to level a character started at the lowest possible XP of the level to do it. But what about those folks who got halfway through a level and wanted to use DMC to finish it off? Easy enough - that's three DMC. Assuming they're halfway through exactly. But what about those who were just a few hundred XP shy of their next one? Or a few hundred into a level and wanted to use DMC to finish it off?

Easy math is awesome, but it leaves lots of odd cases to adjudicate.

I'm happy to edit the Wiki page to make it more accurate.

Well, you'd have to do thirty days per for all of the half-leveled people. But for people who start at the level minimum because it's a new character of some sort (either completely new or a replacement), it would make life a lot easier.

I've also wondered about that - can Ninja take Rogue talents? Can Rogues take Ninja talents (those that don't depend on a Ki Pool, anyway)?

Another questions - Does the Freedom of Movement spell allow one to ignore difficult terrain? It makes one immune to grapples, webs, etc and allows movement underwater but the description doesn't spell out difficult terrain. It seems to me as though it would, but if there's an official ruling somewhere I'd appreciate being pointed in the "right" direction.
I generally find myself in the camp that sides on the interpretation of the rules say what you CAN do, not what the name of an ability might imply. So I would say that freedom of movement does NOT grant you the benefit of moving over natural difficult terrain at full speed. Since magical effects are specifically listed and natural terrain is not, I say it only grants you the ability to ignore difficult terrain from magical sources.

Hello and sorry to interrupt but I was wondering if a race question could be answered really quick. Are races from other Monster Manuals available for use? I've been looking at hobgoblin or fetchlings as possible races.

You could also write up a proposal to add a new player race, but the general consensus seems to be that we have enough races for now, so unless you have some truly astounding fluff written for them, I wouldn't count on them being approved.

Are there special rules for magical weapon costs if for ammunition? I was thinking of having Lem the Cook purchase some shurikens as throwing weapons for his upcoming adventure, but they only do 1-2 hps of damage.

No big deal. We are going against undead, so I thought I would get silver shurikens, with a holy special ability tacked on. This would effectively make the shurikens +3 weapons for the sake of cost (+1 base magic bonus, +2 for the holy ability). Checking on the Pathfinder site, that would mean a whopping 18000 coins for 50 +1 holy shurikens. Lem has over 7500 gp right now.

So is it possible for me to purchase at fractions of the cost. Say I purchase 20 +1 holy shurikens for 2/5 the cost, or 7200gp? Tacking on the silver alchemical property increases the cost by only 2gp each, but make it so the shuriken will only do 1 point of damage, maximum. Still, with the holy property attached they will do an extra 2d6 to undead.

I would lose one of these shurikens each time I threw it, right? So I would lose about 362gp per throw. Wow....
