General star wars talk/discussion/complaining

The thing that irks me the most about the SE changes to IV are the CGI elements that are very obviously pasted onto the film. That and stuff like Greedo shooting first (and Han’s head moving unnaturally to “dodge” the blaster bolt) and the scene with Jabba where Han “steps on” Jabba’s tail.

What I hate the most about the SE version of VI are the changes GL made to the song and dance routine in Jabba’s palace. Awful, unnecessary 3D-oriented CGI nonsense.

The bits showing people celebrating on Coruscant and Naboo and wherever else are OK but they stand out as not being original.

And Hayden as Force ghost.

More or less tge same. ESB 1 line of dialog and a few rweaks mostly improving the ideals. Generally improved it imho.

The sarlacc pit beak is a little hit-and-miss too.

Yup. By now its almost Mandela memories. I haven't seen the originals since 1996 maybe.

Mate gad the OT on VHS. I bought the SE on VHS in 97/98 maybe 99.

Then bought them again on DVD. Then bought the black 2004 boxed set. I think that's the one they shoehorned in Hayden.

So bought it 3 times.

I’ve got the tin can set that has two DVDs in each case. One DVD has a cropped version of the original theatrical release; the other DVD has the special edition version.
