"Laugh it up, fuzzball! Now HR is involved!"

"Today is the end of the Republic. The end of a regime that acquiesces to disorder. At this very moment in a system far from here, the New Republic lies to the galaxy while secretly supporting the treachery of the loathsome Resistance. And now HR is involved!"

What Star Wars show would you greenlight?

I kind of want a Knights of the old Republic series based on the Dark Horse Comics from many years ago.

But what I really want is a retcon: The Fall of Skywalker/Rise of Vader. I want to see Anakin hunting down Jedi and getting slowly replaced by cybernetics and consumed by the Dark Side -- instead of the immediate change we got in RotS.

It'll be interesting to see what comes from Star Wars: Starfighter, but that, or the abandoned Rogue Squadron movie that Patty Jenkins was working on are definitely the core of a show I could see working. Star Wars but Top Gun, in other words. Elements from the Rogue and Wraith squadron legacy novels could be drawn from and revamped. There's a couple possible time periods ... post Endor, but before the final fall of the Empire is a solid one. Between Yavin and Endor as a Rebellion squadron. Or New Republic, pre-sequel trilogy.

The other one I'd be tempted by is the sort of "have gun, will travel" element that the Mandalorian got into, but with a Jedi. Jedi knight travels the galaxy, solving problems, and wandering off again. Problems are solved, lessons are learned, maybe they have a padawan. I'm tempted to go Old Republic, but ... not too far back? Conceptually, take elements from Acolyte, Mandalorian and Ashoka, but ditch big serialized plots, this is a Star Wars ... almost a procedural road show. Land on a planet, meet some colorful locals, solve their problem, off to the next.

After watching those few episodes of The Mandalorian where those couple of Republic X-Wing pilots would show up I found myself wanting to see something like a police procedural of those guys and/or others tackling cases on various planets around the Outer Rim. Wouldn't even need to involve any galaxy-shattering events, just solving local problems and seeing how communities were functioning.

I think the timeline's gotten away from it a bit, but it might still be viable.

One where HR gets involved.

Done in the style of Andor, with complaints about HSE, demands for paid leave, better training for Stormtroopers, walkouts in protest about Vader's treatment of his officers, rumours about droids taking people's jobs...
