The books were not very good! I liked The Acolyte, but I think I was the only one!
I like Acolyte more tgan the internet. I wouldn't call it good. It had glimpses of greatness there.
High Republic era was flawed conceptually though.

I thought the acolyte had lots of potential, but unfortunately the Usual Suspects decided to review bomb it and attack it for the dumbest reasons.I like Acolyte more tgan the internet. I wouldn't call it good. It had glimpses of greatness there.

I think patterns are important in Star Wars. Once I realised The Acolyte was doing textbook Shakespearean tragedy it was fun watching the boxes being ticked off.I like Acolyte more tgan the internet. I wouldn't call it good. It had glimpses of greatness there.

If that's the usual, how can you be disappointed?Reverse is also true though. Usual suspects mindlessly defended it.
Had Qimir and lightsaber fights but otherwise the usual 4-6/10 Disney disappointment.
Animated seems to get better storyline.

It's also a genre you need to be in the mood for, though, and maybe wasn't the right show to either introduce or showcase a new setting.I think patterns are important in Star Wars. Once I realised The Acolyte was doing textbook Shakespearean tragedy it was fun watching the boxes being ticked off.
Indeed - it’s a genre that has declined in fashion since the 17th century, and not something people tune into a Star Wars show looking for. It was a case of the writer amusing themself and forgetting there job is to give the audience what they want. It's also a genre you need to be in the mood for, though, and maybe wasn't the right show to either introduce or showcase a new setting.
I think you are asking too muych of Star Wars. Star Wars has always been bad and dumb and poorly written, but has GREAT vibes. Star Wars, more than any long running fandom IP, is built entirely around vibes. It has very rarely been honestly Good (some portions of Clone Wars, as well as ESB, being notable exceptions). I think Star Wars fans are the worst fans, because they judge everything Star Wars against when it is best, instead of against its typical output.Heh.
Theres a few basic things theyre doing wrong. The ingredients are there but they screw up free wins eg Thrawn.
Some ideas are bad. They were bad 30 years ago when EU did it. Disney repeated those mistakes for some strange reason.
