General Tickets

First Post
As GenCon approaches, I find a flood of anticipation and worry flooding over me. Not only will this be my first Gen Con, it will be my first Gen Con experience, at all.

One of things I've seen mentioned as of late are "general tickets" - preusmably not for any specific thing, but useable for events like the star wars skirmish preview.

When I registered for Gen Con, I didn't get any general tickets...just tickets for specific events. Have I been foolish? Should I have a stock of general tickets?

Fill a newbie in on what to do/what not to do!

Thanks!

Generics are useful to have a few on hand if there is an open spot at a table and you want to join a game on the spot. They don't guarantee you anything, but if you have them and someone is trying to fill a sopt because somebody didn't show up, or they were not full to begin with, they are really useful.

You can always pick them up on site, last year they had a booth that sold nothing but generics. And if all else fails, find me. I bought way too many generics this year, and will be looking to sell them or turn them in for a refund.
