Background: Anika Samuelsson was born in Malmo, Sweden. Her father, Anders, has a professional hockey player, and Anika's birth came mere weeks before his debut on defence for the National Hockey League's Montreal Canadiens. Anika, and her mother, Helena, lived in Montreal during the winter while Anders played hockey, and moved back to Malmo in the summer. By the time she was six, Anika's father bought some land outside Malmo and built a ranch where their family would stay during the summer months.

Anika became friends with the neighbour's boy who was her age, named Sami Rudberg. With her constant moving, Sami's would be the only friendship she would develop during her childhood.

It was also at age six that Anika's father was traded to the New York Rangers, and so, Anika lived and went to school in New York for four years, but always returning to Sweden for the summer. During this time, Anika developed a fondness for computers, sending Sami messages and emails all the time to keep in touch. She also began to gain an interest in her homeland, especially in her Scandinavian ancestors' beliefs, which caught her attention during a school mythology lesson.

In 2008, the NHL became the World Hockey League, and the Frankfurt Gyphons signed Anders, where he played for four more seasons. Anika and Helena lived in Germany with Anders for 3 of those seasons. But after two years of not having or really wanting any friends there, she met a boy named Erik, who introduced her to his clique of friends, all of whom were counterculture outsiders, much like herself.

However, her new friends were into being rebellious, doing anything and everything that they weren't supposed to do, just for fun. Anika, having a low self-esteem at this point of her life, allowed herself to be swept up into it. Smoking, drinking, drugs, sex, stealing, she even helped beat an old man and woman they were robbing nearly to death. Her mother had always left her to do what she wanted and though Helena and Anders eventually noticed the change in her, they didn't realize the extent of it and just figured it to be a phase she was going through.

Though she couldn't remember it very well, the beating of the old couple weighed on her, plus the fact her 'boyfriend' Erik treated her like a bag of garbage, which she finally decided to not take anymore. That resulted in her being beaten badly. In the hospital, her chemical addictions were discovered. Helena and Jonas, Anika's new baby brother, returned to live in Sweden, and Anika was taken to a methadone clinic in Goteburg, where she stayed for more than a month before going back to the family ranch in Malmo.

Once back at the ranch, she immediately decided to run away, back to Germany. She stopped to say good-bye to Sami, who talked her into not leaving. She nearly ran away again almost a month later, but again, her friend talked her out of it.

During the next year, Anika's became even more withdrawn than she was as a child. She began to follow Asatru, the worship the Norse gods and her ancestor's religious rites. To her parent's dismay, she would lock herself in her room for hours at a time, studying old books and Norse mythology internet sites. She'd only leave the house to visit Sami and to go to school.

One night, soon after her sixteenth birthday, Anika was attempting an ancient Norse rite to Thor, the god of storms, to bring rain to the land. To her astonishment, the wind began to whip up, and rain began to fall. She attempted more rites and found that she could actually ask the gods' favor and they would grant it.

It didn't take long before her parents found out what Anika could do, and they decided to take her to Stockholm where she could be tested to see if she was an elite. When she was told she was an elite, she didn't want to believe it. She only wanted to believe that it was the old rituals and her own belief that brought forth the gods' mystical power and nothing else. Eventually, she began to accept what she was, believing it was her elite 'talent' that allows her to be a conduit for the old gods' power.

Anika was soon enrolled to a school for young elites in Barcelona. During her flight to the institute, she decided that she had a chance at a fresh start and would try to make friends, real friends, not like the ones she had in Germany. The past year had strengthened her resolve and her mind. But she still had trouble controlling her temper. When a student at the school made fun of her and her religion, she started a fight that ruined half of the cafeteria. She became quite unpopular and was beginning to become insular once again when she was called to go to the institute in Mudaba Adin. She was told she would be trying out for a new UN team. Determined to not be disliked, she saw this as an opportunity to try and fit in again.

Description: Kelly is a slim athletic girl with gold eyes and short hair of the same golden color. She has a face that people would, and do pay large amounts to emulate, for her its just the gifts of the genetic draw.

Personality: Kelly always was a bit of a snob, but the time spent with Neuro controlling her mind has changed her heavily, she has lost pieces of her memories in addition to the personality changes, she has come out of the prolonged mind control a nicer person who is a bit embarresed about how she acted previously. She is uncomfortable about her status as a celebrity, and acts the polar opposite of the spoiled celeb, but even so, some of Neuro's remaining influence on her mind tells her that she is better then all the base-lines, that she is more evolved. Even more distressing to her is that she finds herself craving things that she knows she never liked, be it foods that she has always dis-liked, wanting to watch and play basketbell, or and this she is most embaressed about, she sometimes finds herself attracted to girls, something the media would have a field day with.

History: Kelly's father, James Mitchel is a tinkerer Elite, who owns the corporation responsible for supplying the Justice Elites hi-tech gear, not to mention a few governments, quite a lucrative proposition, even if his elite/celebrity status didn't make his products houshold names. As such, their family is a rather high profile target, for the media, as well as for those who would wish to slow the development of new weaponry, gadgets, or even affordable luxury appliances for the lower class. Kelly has been a media darling most of her teen-age life. She was always causing some scandal or other seeming to have the same reputation as the pop queen Britneys Spears, a mix of sweet & innocent and naughty school girl., most of which is not actually true. As with any performer a certain amount of tabloid rumor mongering is expected, but with Kelly it grew all out of proportion due to her families prominance, making claims of her being pregnant or addicted to drugs an almost daily head-line.

She knew all sorts of people that wouldn't be quite 'appropriate' for her to know, and thats what led her into trouble. One of her unsavory friends turned out to be an Elite named Neuro, a low level pantheon grunt, with the power to control people's minds. He used his abilities to take control of her mind. He had targeted her at first for her family's money, which she under his influence spent lavishly upon him, eventually he became aware that she too was an elite, and together, under his influence, using Mitchell Foundation technology embarked on a crime spree. In the end the pair was stopped by the Justice Elite. When they were apprehended, and seperated it became apparent by Kelly's confusion that she hadn't been responsible for her actions, and in exchange for keeping her part in the affair secret, Kelly agreed to go to the Mudaba Adin school for Elites. She informed the media that she was in fact an Elite and was going to attend the UN school for Elites. It has only been a few days since her press confrence concerning her elite status and her CD has jumped up the charts 6 places despite her announcement that she will be post-poning her music carrer indefinitely as she attempts to master her powers.

The Prolonged grip on her mind by Neuro had weakened her, leaving her changed. She even exhibited some of his stronger emotions, albeit not as strongly as he had, as well as some of his personality traits. The extent of the damage done to her is uncertain, but she did come out of the experience a nicer, if more Niave person.

Explanation of Powers
Mark's body operates normally at a considerably increased metabolism. His body temperature hovers around 110 degrees at rest and renders ordinary environmental cold a nonissue to him. He can catapult himself at will into superhuman heights of speed and his body is adapted to handle the increased friction generated by motion at such speeds, making him as resistant to ordinary heat as he is to cold and keeping him from overheating and cooking his own organs. His senses and awareness slightly accelerated relative to normal people as well, making it difficult to get the drop on him.

As a side effect of his gaining powers, Mark's body and personality underwent dramatic changes. He's become far more open and sociable, as well as extremely attractive in an androgynous sort of way.

Mark's Legacy uniform was specially reinforced as a part of his customizations and being made of next-generation proctive nanofibers offers him unobtrusive armored protection. He wears fingerless gloves which greatly increase the force of his blows via integrated microcircuitry that produces kinetic energy. The palm of each glove has a small circular capacitor visible as a flexible green disk which gives off a slight glow when carrying a charge.

December 30th, 1996 was the happiest day in Jonathan and Grace Tilly’s life, well the fourth one anyway, but this time was special. Five years after having had their third son, they finally had a little girl. Karen had an uneventful childhood being raised in the close protection of her family. Her Irish father was a police officer and her mother was unemployed having her hands full raising her family. Karen always looked up to her mother and even at a very young age she helped out in the household after school, mending her brothers clothes, cooking dinner, ... Her father insisted that everyone in the family should be able to fix just about anything around the house.

By the time she turned 17 she had become a smart, pretty, if short, freckled girl with an aptitude for working with her hands. Being raised with and by her 3 brothers had made her into a physically fit girl with a keen interest in electronics and mechanics. She was a grade A student. She was often picked on by her fellow students for her size, her grades and her often boyish hobbies, she spent a lot of free time fixing up old cars with her dad.

All this changed on June 15th 2014. After leaving a schoolparty she was walking home alone when suddenly two strong hands grabbed her from behind and dragged her into an alley, putting a knife at her throat. When she got her bearings she could see 3 more men advancing towards her with a very unsavoury look on their faces. The man closest to her tore her shirt. In blind panic but she forgot about the knife at her throat and kicked the guy opposite her right between the legs. He toppled over without a sound.

The next thing she felt was the pressure of the knife increasing on her throat, but instead of the sensation of steel cutting into her flesh she felt the knife give way to her skin as it broke with a loud snap. She threw her head back, her assailant screamed loudly as her now razorsharp hair cut into his chest, face and throat. He dropped to the floor quickly losing consciousness to severe bloodloss.

Her assailants were probably too drunk or drugged up to notice the change that had come over their young victim, because the two others still advanced on her. One of them backhanded her across the face, the blow didn't bother her in the least. Her attacked on the other hand was cursing obscenities about her being an Elite while clutching his shredded hand. Karen's clawlike hand slashed across his throat and soon he joined his comrades on the floor.

The fourth wannabe rapist started to run away into the darkness, but Karen’s sight seemed to enhance what little light there was and with one giant leap she was on top of him, crushing him under her weight.

With every assailant lying on the ground in a bloody heap, the overpowering adrenaline rush began to settle and she took a look at the carnage around her. It was a scene from some cheap horror movie. The man who had grabbed her was still holding the handle of his knife while the broken blade lay several feet further. His face, throat and chest were covered in ragged cuts making him barely identifiable. The man she had kicked had a deep, bloody wound where his manhood used to be. The one who'd backhanded her, had nearly lost his hand and his throat was cleanly cut. Her glasses lay broken against the wall. The guy she'd landed on was crushed and cut, his right leg had been severed by the force with which the razorsharp girl had landed on him.

As the reality of what she had done dawned on her she stared at her bloodcovered hands and began to cry. In panic she blindly ran for home. It was only there that she fully saw what she had become. Her skin as well as her hair had taken the colour, shine and hardness of ruby. Her shoes had been ruined by her razorsharp feet, her clothes were covered in blood and torn in the places where she had connected with the thugs. The only wound she'd suffered from them was a small cut where the knife had broken on her throat. She'd become a monster... She took of her bloody and torn clothes and stepped into the shower. Finally feeling truly safe she let it all out.

A few hours later her parents returned from their own party, following the sound of running water. They found their daughter, or at least something that closely resembled her, still lying in the shower apparently having cried herself to sleep.

They carefully woke her up, "Karen, Karen, wake up honey," startled she woke and immediately cowered away into the corner of the shower, screaming, "Don’t touch me! Don’t touch me! You’ll get hurt!" They tried to calm her, wrapping her into a towel and holding her close, the sharp edges had gone, "Sshht…Calm down, everything will be fine, honey. What happened?"

She kept crying tears running down her now perfectly smooth ruby cheeks, "I’ve become a monster! I’ve killed people! I'm a monster!" she screamed. "Calm down, honey," her mother shushed, gently stroking her hair, "Tell us what happened."

Between sobs Karen tried to explain what had happened, "Th-they... they're dead. I-I k-killed them... I...I c-can’t remember w-what happened b-b-but one of them h-had a knife a-and they tore my shirt and ... and now they're dead," she showed the tiny cut on her throat. She truly couldn't remember what had happened between the man grabbing tearing her shirt and them lying butchered in the alley. She did her best to describe the men but it was fractional at best.

"Sshh, you're safe now," her mother crooned, holding her sobbing daughter close, "Everything will be fine, right," she looked up worriedly at her husband. "Don't worry hun," he said, "I'll check with some mates at the force to keep a look out. It'll probably be written of as the act of some Elite vigilante. We knew these bastards pretty well. They had it coming..." He hunched by his daughter and put his arm around her shoulders, rocking her gently, wincing as her hair drew a shallow hairline cut along his arm, "Go to sleep hun, we'll get through this together."

15 days later Karen was sitting in her dark room, her clothes torn again, her bedsheets were likewise shredded from nightmare filled nights, but she'd slowly and painstakingly gained a measure of control over her body's sharpness. She was watching the CNN news, two Elites were talking to a reporter, one a huge, muscular guy, the other was surrounded by a strange purple glow. They were students at a special school for Elites in Mudaba Adid and had stopped a terrorist attack on the local mall. She bounded up and rushed out towards the dining room where her parents were watching TV, "Did...did you see the n-news? Maybe I should go there? Maybe they can teach me how to control this, maybe they can help me become normal again..."

Changes-Took away Animal Control and instead made Anatomic Separation variable, so Charlotte could simply turn part of her hair into a spider to use to scout which is more reliable than control (negating her having to make control checks constantly). Since that makes Alternate Form take up more points and I have to spend in increments of 5 I moved immunity (critical hits) and another point of strike in there. Spent points gained from level and those saved from the above switch (4 total) on All Out Attack, Interpose, Prone Fighting, and *2* ranks for Notice and Stealth each. Switched *2* Attack Focus: Melee for 1 Attack Specialization: Strike and Stunning Attack.

Background (In an interview style fashion):
"Well...where to begin." Charlotte let loose a sigh as she ran her fingers over her forehead and through her hair, letting it all back. "I think it's best to start from the beginning, though I warn you that it might take a while." She crosses one leg over the other, and looks to those listening closely before she continues. "I really don't know when I was born, I didn't really have any birthdays that I remember-but I was ok enough as a child-I thought I had parents who loved me." Her voice was filled with disgust as she mentioned the last part, "Well, step-parents. My real parents had died when I was about six and I had stayed in an oprhanage for about six months before being adopted. After that, I was homeschooled for the most part of my life, oblivious to the world around me, my step-parents had not allowed
me to watch television, they said it was for my own good."

"Somewhere in my teens, perhaps when I was fourten or fifteen, I had a suspicion that something wasn't right-I don't know why, it's just that my family really didn't feel like my family, and then..."

She takes a moment, her hands now gripping her knees, "I went to their room one day while they weren't around and I discovered something on their desk. It had been a file...on me, a sort of report of what had been going on in the last two weeks. Just then, I had heard them come home-and I didn't have any time to leave the room without being noticed-so, I hid, underneath their bed."

"To make a long story short, what had happened was my step-parents weren't really who they seemed to be-they were just hired..." She begins to get shakey, "Hired by an organization called Pantheon-to watch over me. I caught a phone conversation in that room with them talking about me not manifesting my 'powers' yet, but everything was going as planned and how it would show any day now-at that time, I really didn't know what they were talking about." She finally breaks into a shallow smile.

"But it wasn't until a month later that I felt something strange within me, something just bursting to get out. A 'relative' of the family had come to visit me, my 'step-uncle'. He started to talk about how some people were different, and how I was special. He went on about this, and I thought he was crazy, my step-parents looked nervous. The feeling inside of me was still growing, though."

"Over the course of the following month my step-parents grew more and more nervous, as if they were expecting something or some one. For no reason my step-father had slapped me on the face one day, and as I clutched my cheek, I felt something move-but when I pulled my hand away, nothing was there. Finally, one day my step-uncle had come again, he had
just burst into my room...he, frightened me. He said that he was sorry for what he had to do, and that I was just a waste of time-and then tried to stab me...only, when he stabbed, my body had parted and his hand went through. Suddenly I felt disoriented-as if I was looking at the whole room at once, with a thousand eyes glaring at each direction."

Charlotte held up her hand, and it changed infront of her to a several dozens of spiders-black and venemous-looking, before reverting to her normal skin tone. "After recovering from his surprise, my uncle just smiled and said that he could use me after all-but I wouldn't stand it. I had to get out...I crawled beneath the doorcracks of the house, and I escaped."

"From there I went and tried to get a normal life, being on the run for a while until I had discovered this institute. I snuck onboard a ship and made my way here...and here I am." Looking finished, she put her hands together and felt nervous-would they really trust her and take her in to the institute?
