Gestalt Artificer and ?

My personal recommendation is to resist the temptation to powergame with gestalt. Honestly, it's just too easy. Gestalt rules when you're going for an interesting character rather than a mere uber-powerful one.

I have heard different theories on this. A lot of people have told me to cover all bases, If I take Artificer I should then take a fighter class to get a high BAB, as an example. Really, I just want a second class I can have fun with and that is why I am leaning more towards a wizard with either force magic specialization, through force mage and Argent Savant or for meta-magic feats from Inccantrix. I love the metamagics, that is mainly why I would take wizard over sorcerer, for the bonus feats, even though Sorcerer levels would be uber since it would rely on my CHR which is also what a good Artificer relies on.

But I can never make my mind up, so it is likely I will make one or two different versions and pick one at the last moment.

I'd like to see someone make that roll since I barely believe anyone can make a DC 42 save...

I showed you how someone could make the roll; with a few buffs, make the roll quite easily, in fact. Since you'd like to see it, it pleases me to know I showed you.

And I'm not sure what saves have to do with succeeding at a truespeak check. I'm quite sure someone could come up with a character for your challenge, however.

Hmm, it seems that you would have to play a Peasent(commoner)/Aristocrat to not power game with Gestalt

Unless you are playing Dragonlance Aritocrats, then you would have to play a warrior, lol

That might not be so bad. Make toys for defense, mobility, and stat-boosting; convince the DM that you can apply infusions to your mind blade, and have fun ...

No, I just am getting ready for a similarily gestalt game with a very similar schedule, and was wondering if you were in the same one.

As much as I really really really want to play an articifer, I have toyed with the idea of a paladin monk or a fighter barbarian with frenzied bezerker or even fighter ranger but most likely I am set of articifer for sure.

Isn't souldblade a psionic class? If so he has said no already to any psionics.

However, there was a PrC that gave you such a focus in one weapon type that you could enchant it for free every level, with I think up to a +10 of total enhancments by level ten. That might be an option since it is one less thing you need to enchant.

I did think along these lines too, even down to the blue fur, but the DM has also said no to shifters so I didn't comment on it.

However, I just read your poll under the heading:
Adventures - Should the Paladin pay for Evil Magic Items he wants / has destroyed?

...and it occured to me that Artificer / Paladin might be interesting from a role-playing stand point. Find nasty evil item, take nasty evil item, suck in the XP and craft a holy weapon out of it to spread the word, and pain, of good

Hmm, if you haven't guessed yet, I am all over the board on what I want
