I don't think psionics are broken, I just don't like them. We have some new players so the magic system will be enough confusion for them.

Any official WotC product will pretty much work, unless its something themed like Oriental Adventures. All other sources must be OK'd by me.

If I had said it was 62 pt buy (1 for 1 basis) with all stats starting at 3, wouldn't you have said its much easier just saying 80 pt buy starting at 0?

I'm inclined to believe it's you. And I'm not exactly sure what you meant by that second statement. All I know is a CR 20 truespeak DC is 55. That's easily accomplished with an artificer//truenamer. Heck, with 23 ranks, +8 Int bonus, amulet truespeak +10, and Skill Focus +3 you have a total bonus of +44. That's before we consider any of the myriad ways to increase this check through crafted items, spells, infusions, utterances, or any combination thereof.

Okay, I paged through a copy of Tome of Magic at the store, but the three classes inside are a bit to absorb and I will have to take a closer look.

Right now, I am in love with the incantrix cause you get a tone of meta magic feats which you can then use on your scrolls and items like staves and wands, and at higher levels you can reduce the cost of meta magic feats, always love that ability.

I know of a few other classes that reduce the cost of meta magic feats, but can't recall them off hand. Anyone know what other classes offer to reduce the cost of meta magic feats

Not sure I know of any but certainly incantrix has some power oomph to it.

If you want real power blasting, Warlock/Artificer/Spellfire Wielder.
