Gestalting with Savage Species classes

Has anyone tried workign the gestalt rules together with the racial classes from Savage Species?

Any particular successes, failures, ideas or warnings?

I'm not planning this anytime soon (we're talking probably 6 months to a year away), so I have plenty of time to work on it. I'm considering running a game where the players are devils working their way up.

I've got a PC who might end up gestalted to one of the Undead classes in LM if his character isn't careful (he doesn't know this, of course >=) ), but I've never actually heard any stories of anyone else who has gestalted racial levels.
