Getting older and low Constitution?

Hello everyone. A question:

With an eventual penalty of -6 to all physical ability scores, what happens when a character has less than 6 to begin with for Strenght, Dexterity or -uh-oh- Constitution?

If any stat is reduced to 0, treat it just like as if an ability drain attack happened. It would be nasty if Con were reduced to 0 from old age... hmmm... premature death eh?

CRG' is correct. PHB p. 93, under "Age", 3rd paragraph: "However, any of a character's ability scores cannot be reduced below 1 in this way."

Right, but that -5 HP per level that is retro active will very well kill them.

Thanks! Con 1, hmmm..... Does make for interesting situations....

"I am Lermin, the oldest and most powerful Wizard in the world!!"
...with 17 hit-points...... :D

I don't think you can drop below 1hp per hd though in that manner.

[edit: believe you me if I was an ancient and powerful archmage with only 17hp, a maximized empowered extended endurance spell would be part of my morning ritual.]

Good popint. So, a wizard would have HPs equal to his level. Would he still get three for toughness? That would really make this feat worth while. :D
