[GG] A Game of Gods (IC, Reborn)

OOC: sure the dragon is going out of his highly protected and painstakingly designed lair just because some weird drow guy/gal decides to go for a swim....(sarcasm off)

OOC2: Sorry It took me so long to get back, I wanted to finish some maps, but now I lost my mapmaking software! (the CD atleast) I hope I can locate it again tomorrow, but for now I'll describe what is visible in the water (no matter who's going)

IC: Whoever goes into the water or has some aid to look under water the following can be seen:

The Lake is pretty deep, around 30 Feet to 45 feet at some places, The bottom is very rugged, as if great loads of stone crashed upon it, indeed, you see lots of stone lying on the bottom. The strange thing is that the rocks appear to be cut. You can even see a stone in the form of a throne lying around here. It is clear some sort of civilation had it's place here, and that the roof collapsed, after that, water came into this lake somehow.
At one side of the lake, close to the suface you can see a great dark maw, the obvious entrance to a cave. Anyone searching for a dragon in this lake will certainly immediatly recognize this as the most obvious place where a dragon could be.

Because of Low visibility in the lake, and the sheer size, investigating takes a long while and is probarly not very accurate, you can take more time to search the lake (explain where you are searching and what you are looking for)

"Well it's down there...somewhere. The lake must have been some kind of throneroom once, or something like that. So, who wants to go for a swim?" Yalla asks when she is back on solid ground again, with a sadistic glee on her face.

Mathias chuckles, and half-turns from his position on Ket's back.

"Any suggestions on how we'll be breathing down there, dark one?" The giant raven lets out a racous caw, and snaps his giant wings back. "Let me know when you think of something. I'll be" he nods towards the sky "up there." Before taking off, he looks at the rest of the group - Astaldo, Rebecca, and Gabriel.

"Is anyone coming? We could use some suggestions, I think." With that, the pair - bird and rider - lift off, a small cloud of dust billowing up as they wing over the lake.

OOC: We'll be making Spot checks (we being both myself and the raven) to see if we can notice anything. If nothing else, this will - hopefully - actually get the information that Timothy disclosed OOC.
OOC:

walks to the guys at the edge of the water and takes a long look at the bottom. when he is done looking he turns to others and says: "who shall we send down there to take a closer look??" after a brief moment of silcence: "AND DON'T LOOK AT ME THAT WAY!!!"

OOC: GRRRR I hate my map making pogram, I can't find the CD anywhere. Wel, this one I made with another program (used it before but it's to liited I think) Which is a lot less nice, but it'll have to do.

IC: While the others are bickering who is going into the water, Ket and Mathias take to the air. They see the mountain range and then tis Dale, with the 4 seperate caves and the large lake at the center, there are no creatures visible other than your group altgough some tracks ARE visible. But they can all be explained by your groupmates, who sent some gblins running. One goblin even dropped into the water, and you didn't see any sign of him. As for watching the lake from the air, it is almost impossible to see it clearly from the air, you shall haave to go in, or think of another way.

alak shouts to matthias: "anything to see up there that might be interesting to the group??" alak walks around the waterline and tries to see if he can look into the cave in the deep. he says to himself: "why does it have to be a BLACK dragon.... i dont even like dragons, but for 'the true' i'll do anything"

OOC: Hehe. Heroes of Might and Magic. Very nice. ;)

Err - seriously. What are the distances involved? Is it roughly a mile square map, 500 feet, what?

OOC: actually it's the free mapmaker that came with the 2nd edition CD-rom. The Core-Rules CD, I like it alot, and I would wish E-tools would be only a bit like it. But distances, sorry, yeah.

In meters I'd say the lake is 50 Meters wide and 50 meters Long. The surrounding are not exactlyat scale, but the caves are 25 meters from the water eand after that it's just mountains for a long time. In feet that is: Lake: 150 X 150, Caves 75 Feet frm lake, or something like that, because I don't know the exact measurement of feet.

OOC: Don't worry Timbo-Timmy-tim, I live right by dem-der-yanks, so I'm pretty good with the conversions.
50X50 M lake and caves 25 m away..

164' X164' lake, caves are 82' away. Rounding off to 5' squares, I'ld put it at 165X165, with the shore being 80' wide.

IC:
Rebecca sighs and Morphs into a beast more suited to the environment, a sahuagin, then slips into the water and begins to look around carefully, ready to flee at the first sign of trouble.
