Ghoul Touch vs. SR

What prevents it from being the extraordinary result of a magical spell?

Well, I disagree. Will you concede that where the Targeted/Area/Effect section says "spell" it must really be shorthand for "spells and spell-like effects"? If so, you need to decide whether the secondary effect of ghoul touch is either Spell-Like or Extraordinary/Supernatural. It merely not exactly being the cast spell itself is insufficient.

I think that's a more reasonable argument, as I suggested in post #5 above. (Although my first insinct is that the temporary side-effect a magic spell is spell-like.) But that's not what Hyp is saying.

Unless he's your DM, why does it matter?

If you were at a mall and some kid kept following you around telling you your shoelaces were untied, would you keep retying them or would you just look and say "I think they're ok" and walk away?
