RTFM? Really Tall Floor Model? Sorry, not sure what that mean.

1) The creator used a language to program the robot. He also had a method of communicating with the robot. So there is a control room somewhere - inside the robot, or hidden elsewhere. Try to find the original defense contract for the project, and see how the money was spent. You might find a clue as to whether a hidden base was built to drive the robot, activate the robot, and give it instructions.
We are hoping that the FBI- in research mode at the Fenris base, will find something like that and alert us to the location. Presently the group is trying to deal only with Mr Roboto

2) Is the robot fully articulated? Is it a 50s style boxey thing? If so, try attaching a tether to its back. If it can't remove the tether, you could maybe suspend it, or carry it to a giant pool of cement.
Near as I can tell or recall he's fully articulated. The GM is using a sentinal figure for Mr Roboto, and the description seemed to be as such, thou it has been a couple of weeks.
He's head turns 360 degrees so teethers won't work as he has laser energy blasts in his eyes and a sonic blast from his mouth which he can use to attack the cables.
Spinnerette has used her 8 lvls of Snare, but Mr Roboto just shrugs them off like a loose fitting coat. Will try that thou when we wrap the cables about him, if we can't get to his fuel tanks.

3) Does it avoid power lines, or walk through them? Does it seem to know the lay of the land, or does it have to double back when it encounters an obstacle? If it seems to be moving along perfectly, someone may be feeding it info. GPS technology was not very prevalent during the cold war. In fact, public consumer GPS products didn't become popular until the last 10+ years or so, almost 10 years after the cold war ended. If you can find out when it was built, you might get a clue as to what its doing on its own (preprogrammed) and whether it is being assisted (driven).
To my knowledge he's just walking towards something. He seems to be sticking to the roads, stepping on cars, jumping everyone in a while, I think he's AI has him headed for something/place.
Fenris brought him to life and I don't think they were quite ready for him to jump up and walk away as they haven't had him for very long and it seems they only put him together then began getting his reactor started.
Not sure, maybe he's following street signs? Maybe he has an old military GPS (you could get those on the black market a long time before civilians got their hands on them legally)? All in all thou- have no idea how he's getting around or what he's doing.

4) Focus on one body part, called shot, whatever. Remove its hip or neck.
Ya, its the d20 thing- no locations. Something else (think I mentioned this- but i could be wrong)- Dynamo was the only one to even scratch the paint. He is the only one to even get one point through and together the group has done exactly one point of damage to him. This thing is tougher then we can damage in otherwords.

5) Cover it with molten rubber, plastic, or cement, surround it with a radar/radio jammer. If it still is moving toward chicago, someone is inside, or someone is controlling it.
Interesting test idea. We're gonna try to trap it first, if that fails then we'll try interupting its feed, check for in coming radio signals or what ever, thou its my understanding that its on its own- running a program, thou i could be wrong <shrug> won't know 'til Saturday (hopefully).

Refer to the design specs from the original defense contract - it should tell you what its communication capabilities are so you can zero in on its weakness.
FBI working the specs angle.
There was one guy that built the thing, and he died a few years back.

6) How about determining whether the robot has an aversion or disposition to his creator? Disguise yourself like the creator and try and command him. Dress up hundreds of dummies like the creator and make a barrier. If you do find some command sequences, also find tapes of the creators voice. Disguise yourself like the creator, then use some audio technology to make it sound like the creator is issueing commands.
The robot seems to have no concern where its walking or what it steps on (as I recall), people arn't directly targetted but if they don't move they get squashed. Point of saying that is- if he doesn't care who he steps on then he more then likely doesn't care about the creator.
Again thou, that is a good idea, we have a plan right now, I don't have a lot of faith in it so I am trying to come up with more ideas, and that one will be added to the growing list.
I thank you very much for the considerable time you spent working on these ideas.
