Gifts for a DM

I'm trying to get a jump on Christmas and birthday presents for next year for my beloved S/O. He's a DM (a great one ) and he doesn't have much stuff, besides books. I'm looking for some cool, unique ideas. Anybody have any?

i have noticed that many a dm seems to like having a special set of dmdice. something noone else has, be it because of color or substance or what have you.

also, maybe just a stack of the expendable stuff, notecards, graphpaper and colored pencils, some decent pens and the like.

maybe a bookstand for a dm screen?

A battlemat and counters (minis are expensive). The mat will be around US$20-$30 and the counters (from Firey Dragon) are about $20.

Not exactly creative, but it will really help DMing.

If he makes a lot of maps consider a mini drafting board. I like mine a lot.

Well, when I had to end my last campaign (I was moving to Canada), my players bought me a bunch of Chainmail miniatures (which were being discontinued and were consequently 50% off). That was quite meaningful to me and I loved the minis.

Then again, this is a present for your S/O so you probably want a different kind of meaningful. Gaming stuff might not be what you want at all. But if it is, you couldn't go wrong with miniatures or (if he's not a miniatures guy) a battlemap and counters. The personalized dice bag seems like it might be a nice touch too. (And is a bit more personal than miniatures/counters/etc.)
