Gifts for a young sorcerer

My oldest son turns 11 soon. He wants RPG stuff, but we own most everything we could want that is in print.

I'm open to suggestions for pdfs for an 11 year old that only likes to play sorcerers and war mages. No adult themes please.

Forgotten Heroes: Sorcerers had some pretty cool stuff in it. I seem to remember there being a lot of flashy, comic-book type powers, so it might suit what you're looking for.

I think there was a POD option at one point, not sure if there still is though.

Go for Montes books of Eldritch Might and his variant sorcerers.

If you don't mind spending a little time ordering on-line and waiting for delivery, may I recommend Steve Jackson's SORCERY! series?

They're a little difficult to find but a quick search at www.addall.com shows us this list of books, and it seems pretty complete (note to later readers: this search will expire!).

It's a solo game, has two different classes (a straight fighting man and a magic-user who can acquit himself in hand-to-hand as necessary) and is pretty easy to pick up, as I recall from my youth.

Might be worth a look.

You could try branching out from fantasy a little? How about a copy of Mutants & Masterminds? I know when I was 11 comics and complicated rules were all good.

Not that M&M is really that complicated compared to some.
