Gimli

Blind-fighting and Quick Draw are always good choices as well.

Improved Critical lets you take Power Critical later.

Iron Will and Luck of Heroes are favourites of mine.

Dwarven Fighter

1. Weapon Focus (Great axe), Power attack
2. Cleave
3.Great Cleave
4. Weapon Spec.
5.-
6. Improved Toughness, Improved Sunder

That's what he's got IMC so far (his name's actually Regnar, not Gimli :) ) What should he continue to take? He looked around for prclasses and didn't really find one that fit the exact bill.

8. Imp. Bull Rush?
9. Combat Brute?

Thanks,
Eltern
Not to be too much of a rules lawyer, but great cleave reuqires a BAB of +4, so he couldn't get it until 4th level.

He's got Great Cleave? Thats not wise my friend. Consider how rarely Cleave comes into play .. Great Cleave is used like 1/10th of that. Very rarely, IME.

You're kidding me! In the games I play in Cleave and Great Cleave are very handy for fighters. As a DM I am fearing when the barbarian gets Great Cleave. He already nearly clears the battlefield of mooks as it is. Perhaps we are just more prone to throw hordes of lower powered stuff at adventurers than most gamers are.

At GenCon I played an ogre fighter with Great Cleave (see avatar). I nearly wept for joy, it was such a thing of beauty. Reach, Great Cleave, men-at-arms. "Cromlok kill so much food, he cannot carry it all!"

I agree. We cleave nonstop. Here a cleave, there a cleave, everywhere a cleave cleave.
