A bawdy, dirty limerick contest?

The encounter contest that was done here a while back was a really good one. It yielded some great adventure ideas as well. You could do something like that.

2. Host a new ceramic DM round, with some of the books as a prize offer.

I like this one. It would be great way to get new people involved, and us old hands would have a good shot at it. I got close to winning once, if there was a book at stake, I would have to go all out (as if I hadn't already).

If you do an NPC or adventure or encounter contest, then you can follow up with an art contest: best illustration based on the prior writing.

Then you *really* have a cool resource going.

MEG did a contest where you had an NPC name and you had to stat/background the NPC up to 5th level. 25 point buy, standard wealth, OGC material. Heh - I won that one.
