Giving wizards more control...through cantrips?

Yeah. I think so anyway. :) Doing no damage does not make something weak. Granting CA to all allies? That's like a 5th level rogue daily power. Yeah, they at least need attack rolls, and even with attack rolls some are still fairly strong. I don't think it would be hard to decide on a defense.
I wasn't suggesting that they were weak just because they lacked damage dealing capacity. What I meant was that they had fairly high requirements (Str, Con, Cha 11 is admittedly not that high, but for a wizard?) and non-beneficial effects that require a careful set-up (notice that Flash and Thunderclap target all adjacent creatures - this could potentially include your allies!).

But maybe attack rolls is the way to go (see below)? One other option I could think of is increasing the ability score prerequisites by 1-2 points. But that might severly cripple the feat, so I don't know.

I didn't realize you could only pick one; like a drow, right? Yes, that is certainly better. Giving the best ones high action costs is a good balance, too, along with making them encounter powers.
Yes, like the drow (or any of the Divine classes). My thoughts exactly.

Just be careful about making it so good that no wizard in his right mind would ever -not- pick up the feat: that means it's probably broken.
Well as I said, the requirements are tough and the effects are situational.

I made a new version that includes attack rolls, clearer formatting and a few other nips and tucks - aswell as a couple of new feats granting additional cantrips! And a new wizard multiclass feat (in anticipation of Arcane Power)! Voilá!
