Giving XP: Nodding Smileys vs. Green Dots

When I gave out XP, it used to be a green dot. Now it is a nodding smiley face. I am still a Community Supporter and I haven't yet cut my hair.

What's the difference?

I don't see anything different on the exp you've given to people. They're all little green squares. Just like all the other exp. Have you tried refreshing your browser cache?

Now I have and it looks normal.

It could be my computer's memory, or it could be that pesky Dr. Who again! He's always messing with my mind.

You're not going crazy, I've seen this as well and some of my from people are smiley faces (not green dots). I'm not sure why or how this happens, it seems purely at random.

Users with only a few posts or only a little exp give out neutral exp which shows up as smileys. I'm beginning to think that it's a little bit of both. That you both need a certain amount of exp and a certain amount of posts before the exp you give turns positive.

TC of course is young at heart so the server momentarily thought he was new. ;)

You know what I notice? It depends on browser and it also depends on what ever FireFox wants to do at the moment since some threads I see the nodding smilies and in other times I see the green boxes.
