Ok.. looks like we have a split here between the early slots and the late slots.

Is either day acceptable?

I'm planning on doing a Sept 25th 9pm-11pm EST session.
The following week I'll do a Oct 2th 4pm-6pm EST session as well.

Let me know if that needs to be flip flopped...

PS. Any valid spell is valid. However during the match, crowds may be displeased by spells that seem to do nothing or have the stink of cowardice about them. They come to see bold weapons play, blood spilled and the mettle of a gladiator... not magic tricks.

Off the top of my head... Daze, Sanctuary, Ray of Enfeeblement, Hold Person, Color Spray would certainly get the Boo-Birds off their roost.

I could use Jorum (a 4th level rouge2/fighter1/mage1) who is as strong as he is quick, into exotic weapons (double sword) and has a mithral chain shirt and mage armour to help protect him when he's caught offguard.

Or - a first or second level character created for the games - likely a fighter or barbarian.

you know that mage armor doesn't stack with your mithral chain? Both are armor bonuses.

Aye, Mage Armor doesn't stack with other Armor bonuses, though it does stack with Shield bonuses in 3.5, so you could have a large/heavy mithral shield and use it with Mage Armor active. Mage Armor does have the benefit of no Arcane Spell Failure, and functioning against incorporeal touch attacks, unlike physical armors.... You could instead keep your mithral chain shirt and take the Shield spell in place of Mage Armor, since 3.5 changed it to simply a shorter-lasting copy of Mage Armor that grants a +4 Shield bonus to AC. Some things I noticed when updating Seruleus to 3.5 recently, since Seruleus knows the Shield spell.

I'm figuring Oct 2nd will be your participation. Use Jorum, as I'm guessing everyone else will be using a 3rd/4th level gladiator.
