-Trap: Forest of Stone
-Hazard: Razor Spores
-Hazard: Glittermix
-Hazard: Vicious Animal
-Trap: Pyrotechnic Trap
-Trap: Leg Breaker Trap
-Trap: Gravity Sphere
-Hazard: Madness Gas
-Trap: Fighter Flinger
-Trap: Spinning Column of Death
-Trap: Bouncing Barrage
-Monster: Grand Melee Gladiator
-Monster: Common Gladiator
-Monster: Veteran Gladiator
-Monster: Arena-Trained Ogre
-Monster: Arena Champion

Not to mention all the other material in it, like various types of arenas, how to do dueling, campaigns, etc.

It's an astonishingly crunchy article; full of good advice and material.

This is material I'd normally expect to see in a rulebook, not a magazine.

Cheers!

Oh hell yes, Traps and Hazards!

What're these?

Forest of Stone - A stone column rises from the ground with astonishing force.

Razor Spores - A putrid green boulder shudders and explodes, spreading razor shards across the battlefield.

Glittermist - A cloud of scintillating golden motes hovers in the air, floating on an intangible current toward the closest creature.

All, lots of fun for gladiator battles or for regular deathtrap dungeons. ;)

What level is the angry mob? It's a swarm, right?

Yeah. Level 5 Brute. :)

Cheers!

I just got my subscription tonight Rechan and yeah after viewing both Gladiator articles, got to say definitely try to get it as soon as possible :)

Yeah, the amount of crunch is insane, I also like the Skill Challenges since their really stepping beyond your average kind of Skill Challenge.

Forest of Stone - A stone column rises from the ground with astonishing force.
Hm. Unless there are several of them, then this is only a threat once, and then when you get pushed into it.

Glittermist - A cloud of scintillating golden motes hovers in the air, floating on an intangible current toward the closest creature.
The fluff text doesn't quit explain what it does. Is it a blinding or dazing effect?

Otherwise, thanks Merric. :)

The trap has 4 squares that each has a pressure plate that activate and launches the pillar of stone.

Glittermist gives the target combat advantage to all enemies until the start of the next turn. What is neat about it is that it can travel around so it is a moving hazard.

That detailed and crunchy look at the Death Race skill challenge is exactly what I had in mind for one of my groups, only on an epic scale (easily done with what's given). I've already got what I paid for this month. :)

I wonder if all future dragon articles are going to have this high level of crunch. (And if so, what does that mean for fluff?)
