Sounds like we were watching the same channel... Did the National Weather Service preempt Kurt's song?
Okay, I missed large portions of this episode, unfortunately they extend this episode and stuck in the cheese "High School Musical"esque "Barbra Streisand" dance number. Ick. Unfortunately for me, this was not preempted by anything.
All of the other musical numbers were solid, probably the best performed show I've seen this season top to bottom. Again, this episode hit close to home with the tackling of mental illness and it's treatment. Emma is finally getting the REAL character development she deserves (just in time for Sue to muck it up with Shue's ex-wife).
On a side note Puck is quickly becoming my favorite character, he seems to finally have hit his stride in the scripts as the writers have finally realized that a geeky/bully/juvenile delinquent is actually a fun part to write. What's interesting to me is that he's basically taken over Finn's old spot as de facto cheerleader and behind the scenes meddler as Finn has stepped into the bona fide role of group leader. Guess being a bad boy has it's upside.
Santana has risen to a new low, which Kurt has exploited (good on ya mate), frankly that train wreck is going to be tremendous at this rate. I find it hard to believe that they can keep up her bitchery without some sort of backlash for long, and without personal consequences. She is manipulative yes, but no one that despised can get away with it for that long. And Finn's veiled, "it's already taken care of" answer to his step-dad's plea to, "keep an eye on Kurt" and the interesting camera capture of his facial expressions leads me to believe he might know more than he is letting on. Color me intrigued.
