GLEE Season 3 Finale -- Goodbye

Sigh. The season is almost over, and as the episode title suggests, we'll be saying goodbye to the seniors in the glee club. Not completely though, Ryan Murphy said that everyone who wants to come back next season will. We definitely haven't seen the last of Rachel, Finn, or Kurt. I don't know how this will top last week's episode though.

I should have the complete playlist at the end of the episode.

Darn. Those three are probably the ones I least want to see return. I'd much rather see Unique step up with Tina and some new recruits who join Glee-club now because it's famous. I'd also love to see Sugar suddenly blast out a solo (I've always assumed that the actress could sing and eventually would) and grow as a character.

But as for Finn, Rachel and Kurt... meh, I'm so over them and their whiny BS.

I totally agree. With everything you said, in fact.

Thje playlist:

The core six members reprise "Sit Down You're Rocking the Boat", from Guys and Dolls and the pilot

Mr. Shu sings "Forever Young", originally performed by Rod Stewart

Burt Hummel, Tina, and Brittany do the Single Ladies dance

Kurt sings "I'll Remember", originally performed by Madonna

The seniors sing "You Get What You Give", originally performed by the New Radicals

The other members of the glee club sing "In My Life", originally performed by the Beatles

Puck and Finn sing "Glory Days", originally performed by Bruce Springsteen

Rachel and Finn sing "Roots Before Branches", originally performed by Room For Two

Most of these songs are on Glee: The Music, The Graduation Album.

I didn't see the end coming. Four months is a long time...:.-( When I do this thread again, it will be on a Thursday, because that's when this show will be on next season.

Didn't they think about applying to OTHER schools? What kind of school counselling is that?

And seriously, not getting into a university isn't the end of the world.

Anyway, glad that Rachel is out of there. She really looks too old to be a high school student.

Hope Mercedez stays on somehow. Tina doesn't quite have the vocal ability to be the lead.

I hope Santana doesn't go to NYC, and goes to college.

And Krug is right -- nobody applied to other schools? When I applied for college, I think I sent in 10 different applications ranging from reach schools (the USNA) to safe schools I knew I'd get into (The College of New Jersey--which was Trenton State when I applied).

Throughout the series they mostly show that character not being very good at her job.

None of the cast looks like they are young enough to be in highschool.

Quinn is 26
Kurt is almost 22
Artie is almost 24
Rachel is 25
Finn is 30
Mercedes is 26
Puck is 29
Tina is almost 26
Santana is 25
Brittany is 25
Mike is 30

Man, I'm so glad it wasn't the super happy, everyone's getting their dreams and living happily ever after. Kurt was my least favourite singer on the whole show, I really didn't like when him or Finn sung, my two least favourite actually.

So Brittany is coming back next year I take it? I never understood how she could even get to senior year, she was borderline non-functioning, she should probably be at a special school.

I was trying to figure out who'd be lead next year, Kurt's BF (I forget his name, the Warbler guy) is my favorite left (actually he was my favourite there, Rachel can sing, but her character drove me nuts.), but with them giving like 3 solos to that cross-dressing guy in the previous episode I see him coming over also. (That guy can sing too)

I'm gonna watch this tonight, I think.

So, they didn't end the episode with someone saying "Hey, wait a second, why do we have to graduate? This show got preposterous a long, long time ago. Let's just do like Community did and push the whole school thing to the background. Nobody who's still watching cares."
