Gleemax Cheesewax

That's ok. Gleemax isn't primarily a D&D website, it's WotC's general gaming website. Speculation about future online D&D offerings should focus on DDI, not Gleemax.

And DDI is.....not good. Horrible navigation. When you can find content, some of it's decent....but I don't honestly know if it's a replacement for the printed magazines. Regardless, it shouldn't be so difficult to find material. Half the time, even when logged in, I'm not sure if I'm actually logged in, because material they claim is there doesn't appear. And you have to use far too many clicks to get to most of it.

This could be because it's not "finished" yet. But that's why sometimes it's worse to start showing a half-complete site than to just say "sorry, you can't see it yet, it's not ready". When you show it, and it's not complete, it gives a faulty impression of what the customer will experience....and then you waste time dealing with complaints or questions arising from its incomplete state, rather than how well it's been designed.

Tell me about it. There is a feat in SAGA edition that I posted in the d20 modern forums a couple years ago.

Have you contacted the RPG folks there for some sort of acknowledgement or credit? Scott and company are good guys, they'd likely be happy to help out with that.

EDIT: Some folks have accused me of being a Gleemax and DI cheerleader. Let me set the record straight - while I think the DI is a good idea, mistakes have and (in some cases) continue to be made in its implementation. I think it's a mistake to expose an alpha site to public scrutiny. It's not surprising it's been done, considering the pressure the guys at WotC are under to produce, produce, produce for the DI and 4e.

What I do champion is sane and rational discourse with guys like Scott Rouse. They've been as forthcoming, I think, as NDAs and legalities allow. They're not liars, corporate shills or conspiratorial boogeymen out to somehow 'ruin' D&D. They're gamers, making a living from making games. And for that, they ought to be saluted and given useable feedback...not the 'ZOMG! 4e is miniatures/Anime/videogame/whatever! It's the End of D&D as we know it!' attitude. I wish I was kidding about that, but you all can mosey over to the 4e forum and see such gems for yourselves.

This cryptic article, I think pretty much validates my previous post. Although I can't 100% jump up and down yelling [Brainy Smurf] "I was right, I was riiii-iight!" [/Brainy Smurf], I think it does show that they are indeed looking to change their current SOP on distribution and production.
I may not be a prophet, but I may just start after this.... :D
