GM Needs Help Combining Storm King's Thunder and Hoard of the Dragon Queen ***SPOILERS***

I'm running an SKT campaigns using Pathfinder on Fantasy Grounds and ran into an interesting quandry.

So there's a section of SKT where it basically says "go finish this subquest in Hoard of the Dragon Queen."

Has anyone done this? Normally I would just throw it in, but it's basically a quest to kill the last boss of Hoard of the Dragon Queen. Does this mean players will have to run through the whole adventure before they continue with SKT or can you skip the intro stuff and go right in punching faces?

Any advice anyone who's read both campaigns had would be awesome. Thanks.

I haven't even seen SKT yet, but I transferred from Player to DM in the middle of the last chapter of HotDQ.

Which of the several candidates do you think is the last boss - the Giant King, the vampire, the Red Wizard, the Wyrmspeaker, or the dragon?
We can give better advice based on who you want to get rid of, since we can guess (or make stuff up) what they did between then and now.

The Cloud Giant. Although it seems like there are a bunch of "bosses" in that castle.
