Gnoll with one level of ranger: how many skill points?

Do I get the 4x bonus for my first level of ranger or did I already get that with my humanoid starting skills?

You already get that with your humanoid starting skills. Sorry.

Gnolls, 3 levels and not much to show for it.

For any humanoid with more than 1 HD, you already got them with your humanoid starting skills. For humanoids with 1 HD or fewer, you replace the starting skills with the class skills.

I found that in the SRD (which I have readily available) under Improving Monsters > Monster and Class Levels.

Drat.

Yeah, in the on-line SRD it was a little unclear on what would happen if the monster had multiple hit dice. By which I mean is was very clear and I was hoping it meant something else.
