Gnomes: Monster or PC (Poll)

My choice is that they can be both. One of the scariest 3.X campaigns I played in had Gnomes as the main bad guys.

Also, they're in PHB II as a PC race (given the statement that one of the races begins with Gn), so yeah, they can be PC's as well.

Aside from that, two points;
1) I really assumed they would post the gnome online as a web supplement as a sort of "hey, gnome fans, here ya go". But apparently it's not a priority.
2) I overestimated the race write-ups in general. When they talked them up, and talked about how important race would be over 30 levels, I knew there wouldn't be that much detail in the MM.
Simply point, I don't think there's that much detail in the PHB either...

1) I wish they would do that with all races because as you said...
2) the race write-ups have no Epic feats.

The Epic level feats are non-existent and the racial feats are seriously lacking. I can't figure out why they have racial feats like Eladrin Soldier which will fall to the wayside at higher levels because it provides feat bonuses instead of racial bonuses.

I'm not a gnomophile, so if they never appear as a PC race, I'm not troubled at all. (This won't be the case, of course; Eberron features gnomes prominently, so they'll show up then.) In the meanwhile, if I ever play with someone who for some reason wants to play a gnome, the MM is there for them.
