We should decide on a date between now and the release of 4th edition to hold a special memorial for the gnomish PC race. We can eat gnome snacks, read gnome poetry, listen to gnome music, play pranks on each other, post our favorite art, and share our most treasured memories of gnome PCs as they're ripped out of the PHB and relegated as to nonstandard or supplemental race status.

Anyone have a particularly appropriate date in mind?

April Fools. Gnomish pranking was annoying (in the sense that it encouraged PCs to be goofy rather than serious)... and April Fools is known for pranking.

You know, it seems to me that if you want to play a gnome, then play a gnome! If you want stats, then use the 4e MM stats, or make them up yourself.

So what if the gnome isn't in the 4e PHB? I don't agree with that decision either, but what is or isn't in the rulebook will not prohibit me from playing what I want.

As for gnomish poetry....
