I love goblins!
Paizo's Classic Monsters Revisited is a bit hit and miss as suggested above, but the Goblin info that is so excellent is also largely contained within the amazingly good BURNT OFFERINGS adventure. This is the 1st adventure in the Rise of the Runelords adventure path. I have GMed this adventure and it is awesome. It features the most amazingly insane goblins ever, and the crazy things attack a rather large town! They book-end the three acts in the adventure, featuring heavily in act one (the attack) and act three (you going to their lair to smack them down ... but with much more going on beside that).
I loved it. My players loved it. We did it PbF here on ENWorld's forums, and it survived from start to finish and is, I believe, one of the top 20 most read In-Character threads on this forum (

The adventure contains a slightly cut-down version of the ecology found in classic monsters revisited, but in fact covers all the most important bits.
So, my advice, go to Paizo, find out about their current PDF sale (35% off), and then buy the PDF of Burnt Offerings. A great little adventure for low level characters, with a fantastic town (SandPoint) that can form an excellent base for future adventures.
In my homebrew (used more for my writing projects) I have a race of goblins called Herdak who are a social under-class that live amongst the humans (in major cities), doing all the jobs that people don't like (taking care of poo, etc.) I think goblins can make an excellent addition to human cities as long as you go for a slightly less evil take on them.
But yeah, goblins - best little critters in the entire game!
