nora and scott nearing, modern day pioneers in the back-to-the-earth movement, stated that they would not keep livestock. this is because after observing those that did they concluded that it is impossible to tell whether the people own the animals or the animals own the people.

read the article closely, it sounds like a lot of work for 1/10th of a micron.
