Good 8, Evil 9 - Evil wins the Exhibition!

Armstrong's magic circle is only 10 feet (his aura of menace is 20 feet), so I don't see how his position would allow the demons to break the circle. If you consider aura of menace to be an attack, then that could be a reason why the circle is broken, but not the fact that Armstrong shares the space with Drac.

If Armstrong shares the space with Drac, then the barrier would be forced against Ringo, who is adjacent to Drac. Additionally, though, Greybar needs to roll spell resistance for Ringo, depending on where Armstrong ends up. Best case for Armstrong is that he ends up in the nearest square 90n65e and does not share the space. Ringo will then take a 5ft step to 75n55e (10ft away) and try a full attack. If Armstrong fails SR, the full attack succeeds (pending rolls). If Armstrong succeeds on SR, then the attack fails and Ringo is done.

I forgot how you guys rule, but for grappling I rule that they share space. I do this for two reasons: (1) it is consistent with mounts, and (2) it is consistent with ranged attacks (imagine a second archon also in the grapple but effectively in another space).

I believe previous BoAAs have held that two grappling creatures share all squares, so I'll stick with that. The other way to visualize this is that the creatures aren't static, Drac holds Armstrong in his mouth and is thrashing all through those 9 squares as they both struggle.

I have to look this up when I have time, but I thought I remembered that the magic circle was broken only when the protected person pushed it against the taboo creature - I don't know if I've seen a ruling about what happens when the protectee is involuntarily moved against the taboo creature.

SRD: "The protection against contact by summoned creatures ends if the warded creature makes an attack against or tries to force the barrier against the blocked creature."

OK, I see where my problem is. I have Drac at 90N65E instead of 80N65E. Anyway I agree with the shared space and also consider aura of menace to be an 'attack', so let Ringo have at it.

Aura of Menace checks: Armstrongs SR (succeed 25 vs. Drac, succeed 26 vs. Ringo), then Drac SVs (34) and Ringo barely SVs (22).

George speaks blashphemy, but Armstrong waves it off (SR 22 check), and in moving he moves into the Aura of Menace. The aura penetrates SR (27) and George fails his SV (20). George now has -2 penalty on attacks, AC, and saves until he hits Armstrong.

Ringo's full attack lands a bite (32), but misses with the claws (23, 14) for 16 hp.
Paul's cursing also fails to get through SR (21)

Armstrong now has 121 hp.

Okay... now it is Armstrong's turn at the top of 115!

Note for Evil:

I show that now Ringo is the only one with blasphemies left (he has two remaining)

OOC: Wait, I remember this now. The Magic Circle is Su, isn't it? No SR necessary then. That's what I hated about that ability. In any case, which of the demons still has an unholy aura on? It's a noticeable effect and Armstrong should probably be reminded before he teleports out of Drac's grasp.

OOC: The aura of menace is Su as well, so keep that in mind when Paul walks into it.

Armstrong will disappear from view without even bothering to concentrate.

[sblock]Greater teleport (Su ability) to the roof at 115N55E40Z. Uri the brass dragon will cast shield of faith.[/sblock]

And there are stenches to check that I forgot:
- Armstrong SVs (31)
- Drac fails on a natural 1, and is nauseated by the Ringo's stench!

Armstrong may want to reconsider his move as the dragon gags...

Well, Armstrong is still sickened (unless he has some sort of protection from poison). I'm not sure what happens with the grapple, though. Drac cannot continue the attack, but I don't think Armstrong escapes for free somehow. Gansk? Intriguing...
