You gotta run Exit 23. It works so well, I kicked off a whole campaign based on the feedback I got.

Then again, I changed it around quite a bit, introduced the drug Pigment from _Orpheus_, and turned the snow demon into a Jason, but there's just something about a firefight in a truck stop that works.

The free one-shots from the Wizards D20M site vary in quality but there's some interesting ideas in there, and some of them have quite good maps.

Now I'm curious about Quick Shots, thanks for the heads up.

Edit: Went and bought a copy after I saw what happened a few posts up; that was some great customer service and they should know it. :)

That's what I'm leaning towards, but I'm concerned that maybe it's a bit too Call of Cthulhu in terms of power level. Does it run well with d20M? I noticed that Joshua Dyal's conversion featured 3rd-level heroes. Does that seem about right?
 

Exit 23 rocks as a d20 Campaign. I oughtta get off my lazy (rather, busy) duff and finish updating my story hour based on my d20 Modern one shot at Games Plus in November.

Gee, that IS stupid. And the way the virus was released was SO REALISTIC!![Seriously, it really was.]

Well, Wizards has a free adventure called Trouble at Blackrock that I love.
Unfortunately it sort of falls into the FX and kill monsters categories.
What I like about it is that it's very easy to alter the adventure into pretty much whatever you want. I haven't run it yet, but I made it so that instead of magic, the "creatures" in it are the result of alien technology that arrived on earth during the Tunguska Event, ended up in Nazi hands, and finally made its way to the US. This segues quite nicely into Wizard's No Man's Land adventure, which has to do with WWII and can be expained the same way I explain the creatures in Blackrock.

I really wish Wizards would release some free adventures that don't use a shred of FX. Come on guys, we get it already; "If you like D&D, you'll like D20 Modern." We know, we know. Now, please, give us something without the boogiemen.
