Good Internet Radio Stations?

Jürgen Hubert

First Post
Now that I have a shiny new DSL internet connection, listening to internet radio stations has actually become a real possibility, instead of a huge expediture of money (as it was when I had an ISDN connection). They might also help me with refreshing my knowledge of spoken English.

So, what internet radio stations and programs can you recommend, given that I live under Central European Time? I will mostly have time to listen to it at weekday evenings and during the weekends...

Note that I'm not interested in music channels - I'd rather hear to political commentary, or shows about history or other countries and societies.

Go to this site and look under news news/talk for native english speakers. I like listening to nostalgia stations (1920-1950's) music. You might find it useful as everything was enunciated well and understanding lyrics is fairly easy. But on the down side, you may pick up some very out of date slang. :)

kexp.org

that's KEXP in Seattle. Listening to it is like a cross between being a second edition Shadowrun rocker and a third edition Or'zet hipster.
