Good online site to buy hardback RPG books?

I buy from www.walmart.com
Their shipping is really good and their prices are cheap. I can't always find what I'm looking for, but I usually find what I want.

www.overstock.com is cheap, but their shipping isn't as good as walmart's. They aren't as cheap and their stock is pretty limited.

I've also had good experiences with buy.com
I use them for most book/CD/DVD purchasing. The only downside is they tend to be late getting stuff in. And they only do free shipping on stuff that is in. So if you pre-order a book, it has a shipping fee. If you wait until its status goes to "usually ships in 1-2 days", shipping is free. Their catalog also tends to have holes for 3rd party material. Some 3rd parties they don't carry at all and some they don't list every product. For WotC stuff though, if you can wait for the street date to place your order, you can't beat their prices.

(No, I don't get any kickbacks from them. I'm just a satisfied customer.)

The only downside is that the best price usually comes from Buy.com or Walmart, and if you are morally opposed to places like that, it can be a bit of an ethical quandry... :\

Morals? Ethics? Tell me about these strange things...

;)

Sorry, I have a long purchase history at Walmart.com. Good selection, great pricey, never a shippment late, the ONE DVD that was screwed up due to rough POSTAL handling they still took back and replaced, no questions asked (in person at a store no less).

Say what you will, it's done right by me.

Nobody considers buying their books here at EN World?

First time I checked it was quite complicated to an overseas customers. It still complicated to anyone who tries to use a credit card. Also it requires a verified PayPal account. I am not sure what this means but, at the first time I checked, I wasn't. Curiously, something changed and now I'm a verified user - don't ask me how it happened, perhaps after using their services dozens of times in the last couple years they rest assured that there is someone in the other side paying the credit card bills.

The shipping system is still kind of complicated. I would rather wait a few days more to you give me a precise shipping cost. I pay a small tax for every transaction made in my credit card so I am not a great fan of the current system. Finally, it could be a real saver to many overseas customers if the EN Shop used Global Priority Mail for small volumes (I assume it doesn't as the site states that $15 is the minimum international shipping price). Nearly all my purchases from e-Bay are shipped this way.

When I was rebuilding my collection of 1st/ 2nd Ed AD&D books and various other TSR products I found Hitpointe to be invaluable. Other online stores I've used (and will use again) include Cyberdungeon, Do or Dice, Frp Games and my perrenial favorite Amazon.com.

Morrus, in case you're interested; my primary reasons for not using the EnWorld RPG Shop is economics and convenience of shopping. It's awfully hard to say no to the 20%-30% discounts I get from my primary suppliers (Amazon and FRP Games), with Amazon I can buy my RPG books, regular fiction and non-fiction books, DVDs and CDs in one convenient place and I usually recieve a complementary upgrade on my shipping (with is very nice when you're an American serviceman staioned overseas and buying on the local economy can be quite expensive). Put all that together and its an extremely hard combination to beat.

www.gameoutfitters.com has very good prices on most new RPG books (typically $18.50 to $21.50), as well as having about the very bestprices anywhere for D&D mini's. Their shipping is very good (both of our last two orders came the day before UPS said they would, and one on the day of product release). I've found their sevice staff to be helpful & efficient, as well. I'd recommend them highly.

I'm surprised no-one has mentioned it yet, but how about Talon Comics (http://www.taloncomics.com)? That's a decent site, and Talon (Derek) visits this site often.
I have not seen Derek around lately, am I just not looking in the right places?

And it looks like his site was last updated in April. Anyone know anything?

I buy almost exclusively at Overstock.com. Every now and then I'll try Amazon to see if they have some insane deal (I actually got a brand new d20 Modern Menace Manual for over 60% off) but normally it's Overstock.com.

For example, the new Eberron book is only $23.19 right now with $1.40 shipping. I haven't seen any place that beats it. Sure, shipping usually takes about a week but considering I'm saving about $20 I'm not complaining.
