Good PrC for a Neutral Evil cleric of a racial purity god?

First Post
the players may run into a rather large army of followers of a racial purity deity who are attempting to "purge" their lands of the scourge of elves.

The party is a large party (7 PCs) that are around level 17 or so. They also will have 1 or 2 allies or similar level in support.

The main bad guys will be a powerful death knight fighter, a raging frenzied berserker barbarian type and a warlock sniper type. There will also be a cleric of this racial purity deity who is around the level of the PCs as well.

What would be a good PrC for this type of cleric - his domain options are: Evil, Knowledge, Strength & Hatred. Hatred is from the Spell Compendium. Scorn is a Kalamar specific domain that is also an option (allows you to use Alter Self as a spell-like ability once per day... domain spells include Dominate Monster, Antipathy, Blasphemy, Forbiddance, Unhallow, etc)

Thanks

Often, single-classed cleric is the best choice as cleric is strong enough as it is and many of the prestige classes decrease one's spell casting ability, turning undead level, total hit point and/or BAB.

If you are using complete divine alternative rules for turning undead, 17th-level cleric can heal 17d6 hit points of all the nearby undead, including the Death Knight. Quicken Turning (CD) is a wonderful feat for this as it allow a cleric to use turn undead as a free action, not even a swift action.

Assuming your bad guy does not have much use in turning undead, and you mainly use him or her as a spell caster, Divine Oracle (CD) can be an interesting option. It will lower total hit point but does not lower spell casting capability. And Divine Oracle can use evasion-like ability in heavy armor, along with other good defensive abilities and boosted divinations.

Kensai springs to mind- it requires a Lawful alignment (I know, I know), levels in Diplomacy and Riding, and +5BAB. And yes, you give up some spellcasting when you go with this PrCl, but you gain those nifty enchantments on your weapon of choice- thematically kind of cool for a powerful and charismatic priest of a deity of racial purity.

Blackguard
, while typically a PrCl for fallen Paladins, is also open to any PC who meets the prereqs.
