The peace will guide the planets and simulacrum spells will go strangely awry.
I will eventually be playing in a Eberron campaign. In fact it will be The Age of Worms fit into that particular world. I have an idea for a character, but I can't quite seem to fit the concept into character classes.
Her backstory might help you see what I'm going for an possibly even make some suggestions. She's a half elf from Aundair and used to be the lover and bodyguard of a not very nice wizard. Therefore she was not such a nice person herself. The half certainly used to be very nice, but that's the way of corruption.
At some point she got killed. I'm not sure how yet. It probably had something to do with meeting her match. The wizard couldn't ressurect her himself. There wouod be some good reason he couldn't get her ressurected. The planes being misaligned or something. I haven't decided yet. The point is he tried to make a simulacrum of her; since the other options weren't avaliable. (Funny that there's a thread about them right under this same heading of posts.)
The wizard was not powerful enough to cast the spell on his own and so used a scroll. Things went all hibbity jibbity, because of some factors including his lack of soudn mental facilities at the time. So she was created as he uncorrupted self (As in she's a first level bard.) She woke up, the bad man scared her, and she escaped at her earliest convenience. The DM is going to allow her to advance in levels as she is a rather unique, one time creation. Besides since the half elf isn't exactly a real girl then if she dies then she's gone forever.
I plan on taking the Frail Flaw. The extra feat is a good perk, but the flaw just makes sense to me storywise. She's not exactly real and so she's not as hardy as a real person. I will also have her take the Elusive Dance feat that was recently in Dragon Magazine. It allows you to designate one person that can't make attacks of opportunity against you. The visiual it sets off in my mind is most pleasing. I imagine she'll fight with an elven thinblade, because those are good fun.
Should I go with something like Bladedancer or perhaps Eldritch Knight. Her spellcasting class would be bard. The better base attack, light armor casting, more skill points, and slightly more hitpoints are all positives. Besides though I've been told I'm quite good at it; I just can't stand preparing spells everyday. I see her being a combination of someone that remembers things she used to know in her old life and someone who is learning whole knew skills. (If you have managed to read this all without dozing off then I commend you, brave adventurer.) What classes would you take if you were playing the newly reborn ex girlfriend of a crazy wizard?
Thanks in advance.
