Sold!

Haven't given it a thorough read yet, but from what I've skimmed I like the artwork and seems like alot of the "mount" properties are pretty well designed.

Nice supplement that keeps me from having to design my own dinos!

Any chance you guys might do a release with prehistoric mammals?

Thanks. It can be a real pain to come up with interesting mount abilities. I'm glad you liked those.

Absolutely. The next Critter Cache, Animals & Beasts, has a number of prehistoric mammals in it, including old favorites like smilodon, the cave lion, and the mammoth.

Say. What's the level and role of the T-Rex? Is it a solo, elite or standard?

You know, I struggled with that for a while. First of all, I'm a big a paleontology buff, and I'm one of the folks that believes T-Rex was an active hunter, and may have even hunted in packs. Because of that, I went with skirmisher over brute. As for level, T-rex was one of the most powerful predators ever to walk the earth, and I want PCs that encounter one to be fully aware of that. So, I made ol' rexy a high paragon-tier elite.

So, the final scoop on T-Rex is:

Tyrantfang Behemoth (Tyrannosaurus Rex): Level 18 Elite Skirmisher

This looks great, will have to pick it up.

Currently running an African-influenced campaign and using Nyambe: African Adventures by Atlas Games. One of the mounts in that product is an engargiya (or somesuch).

Is there any chance of such a beast/mount appearing in the Animals & Beasts one?

Thanks.

I'm not sure what an "engargiya" is.:)

However, the next Critter Cache does feature animals you could find in an African wilderness that can be used as mounts. The rhino, the elephant, and dire eagle spring to mind.
